Stefan van Thienen, partner and sector leader for Oil, Gas & Chemicals at Deloitte, brings over 20+ years of background in supply chain and operations performance improvement in the (petro-) chemical industry.
He has a strong focus on core business functions in engineering & asset management, manufacturing and supply chain excellence, R&D, and on the digital transformation of these functions. He led Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT) programs, with a focus on the application of advanced technology to improve business operations and provide opportunities for growth. He leads and has led programs to restructure sites, reduce costs, deliver post-merger integration synergies and carve outs, redesign supply chains, and to develop growth strategies for businesses in the broader ‘process industries’ (Food processing, CPG, Pharma, Chemicals, Paper & Packaging, Metal, Formulating, Converting & compounding, Building & construction materials).
