R&D Scientific Director Process Engineering

Nathalie Schmitt is R&D Scientific Director Process Engineering at Air Liquide R&D. Her responsibilities include the management of a portfolio of innovative exploratory projects evaluating and developing disruptive science and technologies, in close collaboration with Air Liquide customers and Business Lines. Nathalie joined Air Liquide as a Process Engineer in 1996 in the Engineering and Construction Department and has occupied various technical and management functions in France, United States and Germany. In her last position before joining R&D, she was Director Innovation and Development, in charge of development projects for all Air Liquide proprietary technologies. Nathalie graduated in Chemical Engineering from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Rouen, France. She has been nominated International Fellow in the Air Liquide technical experts recognition program in 2018.
