Dr. Hanno Bruemmer, COVESTRO Senior Vice President Polyurethane Global Production & Technology
Since 2015 Hanno Bruemmer is Senior Vice President as the Global Head of Production and Technology in the Bus iness Unit Polyurethanes, former Bayer Material Science now Covestro. This e ncompasses leading the P&T activ ities in the largest B usiness Unit within Covestro as an integrated raw material and systems supplier, mainly for rigid and flexible foams. He has the responsibility for assets, production and technology across the globe of the Isocyanates MDI and T DI, Polyether Polyols as well as the b asic c hemicals like Chlorine and Carbon Monoxide . Hanno Bruemmer is a member of the global Management Committee of the Business Unit Polyurethanes . Hanno Bruemmer is a PhD chemist by education and started at Bayer in 1996 in Central Research. In 2000 he moved into production where he has held positions of increasing responsibilities from plant manager for pilot scale and full scale production, over Vice President for production of MDI, up to global P roduc tion H ead in the Business Unit Coatings – Adhesives – Special ties. His career included assign ments in Leverkusen, Dormagen, Uerdingen and Bruns büttel in Germany as wel l as in Baytown, Texas , USA. Hanno Bruemmer is married and has three children
