Dr. Sadesh Sookraj, Novomer Executive Vice President – Chemicals
Dr. Sookraj has more than 20 years of domestic and international experience in the petrochemical and renewables industries in both business development and technical roles. Recently he was Global Business Manager, Catalysts and Business Lead for Sustainability and Innovation at SABIC Performance Chemicals based in Saudi Arabia. Prior to this he was Chief Scientist at Sasol Technologies in South Africa where he focused on plant R&D, catalyst activation/deactivation, and lead the companies University sponsored research programs. He began his career in the nuclear industry in South Africa and has managed strategic technology driven initiatives across different markets within the chemicals and renewables sectors. Dr. Sookraj completed his Ph.D. that focused on the development of homogeneous catalysts at University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and his MBA at University of Witwatersrand (South Africa).
