Dr. Pierre-Alain Weiss, BUDENHEIM VP Research & Innovation
Pierre-Alain has more than 15 years of experience in innovation and business development. He is leading the corporate Research & Innovation unit of the specialty chemicals company Budenheim. Budenheim offers sustainable solutions for a broad range of applications, including nutrition, health, safety and preservation of resources. Budenheim generates annual revenue of several hundred million Euros and has a workforce of more than 1,200 employees globally. In his previous roles Pierre-Alain was in managing, sales and consulting functions at consultancies, helping major companies in the chemicals, materials, consumer goods and healthcare sectors to investigate and develop new markets, to fill their innovation pipelines, to find solutions for technical or IP challenges, and to improve the way they innovate. Before this he worked with a leading global polymer producer in technical service, project management, innovation management and business development roles. Pierre-Alain holds a PhD in chemistry.
