Dr. Martin R. Lohe, SIXONIA TECH CEO
Dr. Martin R. Lohe is co-founder and CEO of Sixonia Tech, a quickly expanding start-up that commercializes tailorable functionalized, processable few-layer E-Graphenes and customized formulations, applied in the areas of inks, coatings, rubber, sensors, energy storage and wearables.
He has many years of experience in the field of process development, optimization, upscaling and commercialization of inorganic specialty materials. During his PhD and Post-Doc in inorganic chemistry at the Technische Universität Dresden, he established a university-based profit center for the manufacturing, upscaling and application of specialized, high performance adsorbent materials. During a Post-Doc in Mainz, at the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research, the scientific possibilities and commercial potential drew him towards graphene and 2D materials, before joining the Chair of Molecular Functional Materials as Industry Project Coordinator in 2015. As an early member of the chair, a part of the excellence cluster cfaed at TU Dresden, he built up the “Innovation and Industry Group” and led the ESF Junior Research Group “Graphenzentrum Dresden”. A series of technical advances and significant practical innovations, followed by key intellectual property achievements culminated in his cofounding of the spinout Sixonia Tech in 2017.
